If you thing this spectacular summit of artezonraju seem familiar that is because the last part before the summit offer 80-90 degrees of inclination which looks like very famous logo of paramount studios. This expedition and climb is suitable for people with plenty of technical mountaineering experience, high fitness, glacier travel skill, and significant experience with crampons, as well as well acclimatized.

Day 1: Huaraz – Cashapampa 2990 M - Llamacoral 3760 m

Day 2: Llamacoral 3760M – Alpamayo View Point 4300M - Base Camp 4250 m

Day 3: Base Camp 4250 M – Moraine Camp At 5050m

Day 4: Moraine Camp At 5050m – high camp at 5600m

DAY 5: high camp – attempt Summit At 6025m – Moraine Camp Or Base Camp

Day 6: Base Camp – Cashapampa - Huaraz

Note: if you take 7 days climbing 01 day is add for extra day, which can be one day longer than many others that you can see The extra day can be effectively used for bad weather, or rest, in otherwise this day can be used to walk down from moraine camp to base camp.

Itinerary Description

Great mountain Climbing of mount Artezonraju

Day 1: Huaraz – Cashapampa 2990 M - Llamacoral 3760 m
We drive from Huaraz to reach of Caráz town. From Caráz we turn north-east, into the mountains on dirt road until reach cashapanpa village meet with donkeys & donkey drivers, from where begin the trek up to the right bank of river trough very narrow santa cruz valley until reach wide alpine meadow, where is the campsite with spectacular view of taulliraju to the valley ahead.

Day 2: Llamacoral – Alpamayo View Point 4300 M - Base Camp 4250 m

easier day walking up on gentle grade uphill passing the beautiful mountain lakes until reach Alpamayo viewpoint, Where we will relax enjoying the splendid summit views of the majestic mountains of Alpamayo, which is very well known for it has lovely flouted ice wall on the south west face and even the dramatic view of mount artezonraju, which looks like emblematic logo of paramount picture, after that, the route bring us to isolated taullipampa campsite, on beautiful and pleasant grass valley.

Day 3: Base Camp 4250 M – Moraine Camp At 5050m
After the breakfast we start walking up toward the moraine camp on faint path into the bushes and scrubland until reach the camp. Note: our collective climb gear as tent, rope, food will be transported by our porters, who will carried it in their big backpacks, but you need to carry your personal climbing gear, clothes and sleeping bag.

Day 4: Moraine Camp At 5050m – high camp at 5600m
This we walk up on faint path until reach the beginning of glacier, as soon as we reach the glacier we dress up our climbing gear, and rope up then we will follow climbing up on ice steep slopes of 30° - 45° until each the high camp.

Day 5: high camp – attempt Summit At 6025m – Moraine Camp / Base Camp
Summit day: after the breakfast we start climbing around 12:30 am on ice slopes of 30 – 40 degrees, later we will climb ice falls of 60° – 70° where we will use ice screw to protect and two technical ice axes after that we will reach the summit, where we will enjoy spectacular view of sun resin, then we back retracing and with several rappels on the same route, until reach the moraine camp - back to base camp.

Day 6: Base Camp – Cashapampa - Huaraz
After our breakfast we walk down along santa cruz valley until reach chashapampa village where our private transportation is waiting us to bring Huaraz Finish Our Climb. Back to Huaraz for a nice shower in the hotel and some rest; enjoy a good dinner celebrating in y the town.

Optional Day 07: if you take 7 days climbing 01 day is add for extra day, which can be one day longer than many others that you can see The extra day can be effectively used for bad weather, or rest, in otherwise this day can be used to walk down from moraine camp to base camp.
